6 of March

During the first hour, as the screen was not working we had time to work on the proyect with our groups.
Our group ( as we are coordinators) asked the classmates to do a list of the materials they need for the proyect. Also we used this hour to organize the cuestionary and select the questions the classmates sent us.
During the second hour, we keep going with the unit.

Air temperature

- Daily temp range. It is obtained substracting the daily minimum temp from the daily maximum.
- Daily mean temperature: average temp between the maximum and the minimum for each day.
- Monthly mean temp: calculated by adding the daily mean temp for each day of the month and dividing by the number of days.
- Annual mean temp: average of the twelve monthly means.
- Annual temp range: Is computed by finding the difference between the warmest and the coldest monthly mean temp.

Factors of temperature

- Seasons
- Latitude
- Differencial heating of land and water
- Ocean currents
- Altitude
- Geographic position
- Cloud cover and albedo

Air Pressure

Force per unit area exerted into a surface by air around that surface.

"The air pressure is like a collum of air in front of us"
Temperature and pressure: we have a inner pressureto endure the pressure of the earth. Our inner pressure balance with the external pressure.
If we go high in the mesosphere we do not have air, our inner pressure does not change but as the outside pressure change we would explode.

Humidity

The amount of water vapor in the air.
- Mixing ration: grams of water vapor per kg of air.
- Relative humidity: capacity of water vapor in air before saturation, changes with temperature.
- Dew point: temp to which air would need to be cooled to reach saturation.

Wind

3 factors:
- pressure gradient force: different pressures in temperature.
- Cariolis force: A force appears because earth is rotating, is going to change the direction of the wind.
- friction: slows the wind (intensity).
