Today we learn more about the atmosphere, troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere. Troposphere - Is where weather and climate occur. - The troposphere is hited by the earth. The sun hits the surface of the earth and the erath reemits the energy  (green house effect). - 11- 12 km - Composition. nitrogen and oxigen. More than 50% of the mass is located here. Stratosphere - Temperatures start to increase again. - Ozone is responsible for filtering the ultra violet radiation from the sun. Mesosphere - Lowest temperature in the atmosphere - Falling stars Thermosphere - Few amount of water, density decrease a lot. GREEN HOUSE EFFECT - Green house gases absorb the energy and hit the atmosphere. - It keeps the earth warm. - We are increasing green house gases a lot, so the temperature is increasing (global warming) - Green house effect is something good for us. During the first hour we did the exam inpairs. I fee the exam was harder than I expceted but I managed to get at least half of the answers correct. The next hour we had the celebration of cinder wednesday.

Before explaining us the weather and atmosphere, We answered some questions with the teacher of the previous knowledge we had about the topic. We talked about the difference between weather and climate. Weather is the temperature of a place and the climate is the temperature we expect from a place due to its characteristics. The weather changes all the time everywhere. Atmosphere Envelope of air that surrounds our plaent. Protects the surface of the earth. Atmosphere is mainly compound by Nitrogen. Origin of the atmosphere At the beggining was also made by Carbon dioxide (like the inner planets). As life appears the first human beings took the Carbon dioxide and expulse oxygen. So the composition changed. Carbon dioxide started to get smaller and the oxygen started to grow.

Today we talked about the moon, we learned why there is a part of the moon which we can never see. We talked about these concepts related to the moon: crescent, gibbous, waxing, naming. The different faces of the moon has to do with the position of the sun, the erath and the moon. It takes 28 days for the moon to complete a whole revolution around the earth. We have two types of eclipses: - the solar ecplipse in which the moon is between the sun and the earth. - the lunar eclipse in which the eath is between the sun and the moon

Today we learned why we have different seasons and the relation with the axis and with the transaltion movement. We watched a very interesting video about it so that our ideas were more clear. Also we saw a hilarius picture of a kid wondering if it was the sun or the earth who mover around. Related to this, we learned the positions of the sun in the different seasons. During the second hour, we disscused the proyect with concrete ideas we were motivated to do in order to reduce the use of plastics. The ideas we proposed were: - Creating an aluminium bottle with the logo of ces Don Bosco. - creating an instagram account to share interesting data and interviews. - collecting signs of the students so that the head master sellect the idea of the  aluminium bottles. - Offering discounts in Ces Don Bosco if you bring your bottle when you buy a coffe.

12 OF February

Today we spent the first our finishing the the planets according to the scale we used. We made most of our planets with clay and also we used marbles and small balls. It was very difficult to take pictures due to the large distances between the planets. We had many difficulties following the distances also because the planets were very small to take pictures of more than one at the same time. We had to move around all the playground of the university as well as the ramp until we put our lasts planets around Dehesa de la Villa. During the second hour, we discuss in our groups different solutions for the overuse of plastics (the topic of the project). Then, we share the concrete solutions with our class.

Today we had to plan our mockup of the solar system. We had to search the diameters of each planet and also the distance to the sun. After it we used the scale in which the diameter of the sun is 50 cm so we did a rule of three to converge the rest of measures.

Today we went the first 15 minutes of the class to the playgroung in order to do an activity. We did the thinking routine: "I see, I think, I wonder" regarding to the universe, specially to what we saw from the playground. After it, we went to class and shared with our cooperative groups what we wrote down. We discussed in our cooperative groups this question relating it with the universe: Where are we? Our conclusion was that we are on earth, but the earth is like a tiny ant in the playground, there is more universe out of the solar systema and the Milky galaxy.
